Bob Baffert-trained Indian Blessing earned a wire-to-wire victory in the 2007 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. With jockey Garrett Gomez, she had a six-length lead at the eighth pole and, at the wire, a lead of three and a half lengths on the runner-up, Proud Spell. Indian Blessing went into the race as the favourite.
Runner-up Proud Spell came in ahead of Backseat Rhythm, who entered the race as a 19-1 shot, by half a length. Fourth position in the race went to Tasha’s Miracle.
The total value of the 2007 Juvenile Fillies was $1,832,000, with the winner taking $1,080,000.
